The Carballo/Wright & all of the extended family would like to thank each & every one that came out to show your support for Eric. Everything went really well & there was a wonderful turnout for the funeral. Thank you for all of the flowers, cards & everything that you all sent, your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you all for being there for us during our time of grief. I can't begin to explain how much everything that you all have done has meant to our family. For all of you that could not attend the funeral, candlelight vigil or the fundraiser party we know that you were there in spirit. Eric will be greatly missed & I'm asking that everyone continue to keep our family in your thoughts & prayers. Don't worry Bayside family, we will see Eric again :-) God bless everyone!!

Damn this sim sad news..I been seeing the RIP Ballo all over myspace just never knew they was talking about Eric. Man this is terrible. I was right down VA but I cant make it back for the funeral. RIP Ballo...another fallen soldier taken too soon.

I hope to be able to be there tomorrow. Had I known about what took place this weekend, I would have been there. I'm sorry I missed out. But I will be there tomorrow at 11 :)

Hi everyone from Bayside. I am listed as graduating with the class of 80 but I graduated with the class of 79! Hope everyone is doing well. If anyone from Class of 79 is onboard hey and drop me a line. I was a wall flower in school so I doubt anyone will remember me. Good evening!! I know that you all have heard the horrible news that one of our fellow classmates (my cousin), Eric Carballo has been killed. I ask that you will keep our family in your thougths & prayers. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. I would like to invite anyone who would like to join us for the homegoing services of Mr. Eric Mario Carballo. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 17 at 11:00am at Bethany Baptist Church: 2587 Campostella Rd Chesapeake, Va. 23324. Immediately following the funeral service will be the burial at Roosevelt Memorial Park: 1101 Campostella Rd. Chesapeake, Va. 23320. After the burial, we will meet back at Bethany Baptist Church. If you are unable to attend the service, but you would like to send something out to us then please feel free to do so, the address is: 540 Southgate Ave. Va. Beach Va. 23462. There will be a fundraiser on Saturday June 14 at 9:00pm at Club Hartz: 1049 Independence Blvd. Va. Beach Va. Also, we're having a candlelight vigil on the football field at the Old Donation Center: 1008 Ferry Plantation Va. Beach Va (near the Haygood Skating Center) on Saturday June 14 as well. On Sunday June 15, we will be meeting up at 540 Southgate Ave. at 7:00pm to reminisce about the life of Eric. Please check the Virginian Pilot on Sunday June 15 for Eric's obituary. I saw it on TV this morning. OMG! I thought it was someone else. But I guess it was Eric. Please contact me with the info for the funeral. I will try to make sure I am there. I am thinking about his family and his kids. They are in my heart... Eric... RIP you were one of the best!
