| I was wondering could we meet sometime next month just to get the ideas flowing...I like the whole internet site, don't get me wrong at all. But I think we should try to all meet with each other at a restaurant or at someone's house, bring a covered dish or something like that and just begin to get all of our ideas on paper. |

| I am not trying to be rude but there would be know way for me to be able to attened if on the ship. I have extremly bad motion sickness, I even get it from swings. How fun would that be spending the reunion in the bathroom. We live in VA Beach there are so many other places to have it at. |

| I am not trying to persist that we have it there, but I was just suggesting it for one of our activities. Yes, there are other places to have it at...but yes everyone is suggesting their displeasure with not having it there...granted I understand that some people may have motion sickness and other issues...but not to may people are going the extra mile to do any leg work to provide information on other activities for us to do. |

I keep the Spirit on my list each year when going over options for our office Christmas party and each year I get the same reason why we shouldn't do it: (not that they don't complain about everything else) The main reason my folks say they probably won't attend is that they don't want to be obligated for the whole time. They may be planning to arrive late or early to the function or they want to be prepared to leave if they have sitter issues.
I am putting in a vote for a hotel banquet room. A few of you have mentioned getting good deals. If notices are sent soon, with a request for $$, it should not be too tough to have time to reserve a place for Oct, or when it ends up happening.
I am pretty much bah humbug because I have planned my Christmas party 6 years now for a typical group that always has something negative to say about each function. However, I do not mind sharing my notes from planning each year. |

I'm not stuck on any particular location. The Spirit of Norfolk sounded like fun, but I too have motion sickness! After all of my travel experiences, I've just learned to take Dramamine (less drowsy of course!) Courtney S. , Nicole, Sharla (or any VB residents)...if yall plan a get together meeting sometime around Easter weekend I can join in...just keep us posted! |
